Tori Green: Who are you? What do you do?
Michelle Castro: My name is Michelle Castro, my name in the higher dimensions is Lumina Ur-A. I am a Creatrix and healer. My offerings are Akashic Records , Psychic, Reiki Master, certified International Yang Chi Acupressure practitioner, Biofield Tuning and certified cannabis coach and plant medicine coach…. LightWorker Entrepreneur.
Tori: What was your first business (including running your own business)? How long did this last or are you still involved in the same business?
Michelle: This is my first official business, before this I was working for a decade in the mental health field as an addiction counselor. I have been successfully supporting myself as a healer for 5 years.
Tori: Biggest challenge? How did you get through it?
Michelle: Believing in myself enough to start over after establishing a decade long career in the mental health field walking away from a steady income at 43 years old. ( How did you get through it?) Dark night of the Soul AF. I left that career feeling so defeated for the last three years, nothing fully prepares an individual for the tremendous loss of life we deal with in treatment among other aspects of the treatment beast, it was literally draining my joy and soul. I felt so lost yet knew my purpose since I could remember was to always help people, so I took a chance and at 43 I began searching within me for the joy again. Asking myself in meditation, What makes me feel most alive? And it was healing, nature… I began to look into plant medicine for healing. I met my dear friend and fellow Bad Ass Creatrix Karin Clarke who had 30+ years of recovery and worked in the Cannabis Industry for 10 years. She opened my perception to plant medicine and the body, this sparked my joy and I began to study under Dr Dustin Sulak how to become a certified Cannabis Coach. During my studies I began exploring various forms of sound healing when I met another of my now dear friends and mentors Rabiah Troncelliti, an Incredible Reiki Master and Theta Healer who Busted my world right open. Karin and Rabiah, those Two Women are Catalyst of Divine Fierce Feminine Energy Embodied. I attended one of Rabiah’s sound baths when she placed a tuning fork on the tip of my breastbone and I suddenly felt Home. I finally felt that I could exhale and the tears began streaming down my cheeks wetting my hair and the pillow beneath, It was as if I had been waiting to release those tears since I was born. They flowed gently and with such purpose that I knew I had found my medicine.
Tori: What is something that you wish you could go back and tell yourself before starting this journey?
Michelle: Funny but I do not see things in this perspective. I have learned through integration that absolutely everything is divinely timed in agreement to the Soul and Source in the higher dimensions.
Tori: What did you do before owning your own/running your business?
Michelle: I had a decade-long career in the Mental Health Field.
Tori: What/who made you take the first leap?
Michelle: I found myself becoming depressed and feeling burned out, in spite of all the therapy to keep clear as a counselor and stay present for my clients. In spite of keeping a very disciplined self care routine both physically and emotionally as well as spiritually practicing recovery and a dedicated Buddhist practice.
Tori: Who was the first to believe in you and give you real support (financial/sweat equity)?
Michelle: I quit my career and my family helped me for a few months while I got on my feet in the cannabis industry.
Tori: Was this your dream job? If not, what was?
Michelle: This is my purpose, which I don’t see as a job. I see what I do as a service to Source through serving humanity. When I first went to college to get my Psych degree I wanted to be a child therapist, like most therapists, it was mostly to heal from my traumas.
Tori: Why did you get into this field?
Michelle: It's My calling. Akashically, each soul chooses a central purpose and every incarnation thereafter carries variations of that purpose. I agreed to step down my consciousness from source to experience life and my consciousness ascension through service as a healer.
Tori: What is your biggest failure that you turned into a success?
Michelle: Recovery. I was a hope to die alcoholic addict and was killing myself slowly. I got clean in May 2008.
Tori: If you could change one thing about your life today for the better, what would it be?
Michelle: I am actively casting my spells to create constantly so it's coming to me and I am just keeping my arms open to receive. Sometimes I do wish I had more time during the day to do more and get more done , however I have struggled with just allowing myself to just be… so is this a good or bad thing? Ha!
Tori: How is your life/work balance? Body, mind, and soul weekly routine?
Michelle: Daily meditation, work-out and work. As a healer I make my own schedule and since I serve clients all throughout the US and abroad my schedule is rather staggered for those time zones.
Tori: Do you say/write out affirmations?
Michelle: OOOh you mean Cast Spells? You betta fukking believe it! Its powerful Af. Haven’t you heard of Dr Massuro Emoto? Nikola Tesla? Dr Bruce Lipton? Yep I cast spells …. I embrace my bruja side (Witch).
Tori: When was the last time you tried something new/ Stepped out of routine?
Michelle: Recently I went to Ecstatic Dance La . Fukkkinnnng Looooove it! My beloved friend Rabiah was in town a few months ago and she suggested trying this silent disco on the Venice beach shoreline. Now I had done my best to not do the whole silent disco thing when it started… I'd see them popping up in the middle of open plazas here and there and it just never really appealed to me. She had gone to one before and this is completely different. It is led by co-founders Dj Robin Parish and Atasiea a Reiki Master and Theta Healer like Rabiah. Intentional dance and release on the water and sand of Venice, no judgment and just bliss.
Tori: Favorite book that changed your life?
Michelle: I am an avid Reader. Learning is one of my acts of self-care… Book that changed my life: Tuning the Human Biofield By Eileen McKusick; How Not to Die by Dr Michael Greger. Currently I am obsessed with Punk Science, Inside the mind of God by Dr Manjir Samanta-Laughton – Quantum scientific look at the frequency and vibrational world of spirituality. The next book that I bought to gobble up is the Gene Keys by Richard Rudd.
Side note… totally recommend The Magdalene Manuscripts by Tom Kenyon, the book explores the Egyptian practice of Sexual Alchemy and it includes DNA activations to strengthening ones intuition and alchemy.
Tori: Do you think your gender gives you an advantage or disadvantage in today’s world?
Michelle: Yes and no, I believe the only limitations are on oneself.
Tori: Have you experienced different treatment from your peers of the opposite sex?
Michelle: In my line of service it is predominantly female so no I have not.
Tori: Thoughts on the glass ceiling?
Tori: What advice would you give your children/ future children about succeeding in a patriarchal society?
Michelle: The only Obstacle is Doubt. It is more painful thinking about doing a task than actually doing it. Your soul essence is to expand and grow, staying the same is death….
Tori: If you could talk to a young boy/girl from your hometown neighborhood who aspires to have your career/job/focus what would tell them? Advice.
Michelle: Listen to and follow what excites your heart, sparks your passion and is to the highest good for you and others. This is often your past life or your soul whispering to you to reclaim your divine soul Song! You chose to become consciousness experiencing consciousness by becoming your own soul's song. Clear the static that interferes with the world hearing your divine song . Release with love those who have taught you the hardest lessons because ultimately You leveled up!! As shitty as it was in that moment of your life, those events helped You Show Up for You. Whether it was being able to shift, change direction, ask for help , awaken to different strengths, heal the wounds that kept you blindsided.
Tori: Fun fact about you?
Michelle: I'd love to go off to an island, live naked in a commune and practice healing remotely … so I’m working on that.
Tori: Number one piece of advice you remember?
Michelle: Be Mindful of what you say and think .. The Universe will always respond with the same frequency. Pay attention. Remember that sometimes what we ask for requires doing our part to do shadow work. The Shadow work is the clearing of the static to Your set frequency so push through it and do the work. Ultimately it is for your soul's highest evolutionary good. Your consciousness will ascend.
Tori: Anything else to add?
Michelle: YEEEEEES! If you are not madly in love with your tribe and the love is the same for you, if your tribe does not inspire you to be the very best version of yourself daily, if Your tribe does not support you when you are down and celebrate the shit outta you when you achieve your goals along the way then You need to level up and clear that static. Remember the Universe will always respond to the frequency you set. How are you amplifying that frequency? The people you surround yourself with will either amplify your frequency or siphon your energy away. You Want Success? Dive Into living life in Wonder, Live a Wonderful life and let yourself be guided by your passion. Serve the Highest good in all of your actions and you will be met with the same response from Source.
